Martin D. Haissiner

Martin Haissiner graduated cum laude from the Universidad de Buenos Aires School of Law in 2016. In 2015, the same institution selected him to be an exchange student at Columbia University in New York.

In 2017, he was chosen to be part of the School of Criminal Science and Criminal Dogmatics at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany.

In 2018, he was selected as a Fulbright Scholar and admitted to the LL.M. program at Yale University, where he is currently working towards a doctorate degree (J.S.D). 

After completing his master's degree, he passed the exams to be admitted as a licensed attorney before the New York State Bar, with sufficient scores to apply for admission in all other jurisdictions that adopted the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE).

During his professional career, Martin Haissiner has held several positions in the Judiciary of the City of Buenos Aires. First, in the courts specializing in administrative litigation and tax matters, and, later, in the courts specializing in criminal and misdemeanor matters. Previously, he had worked as a legislative advisor in the Argentine Congress. Since 2020, he has been in charge of the Public Law area of Haissiner Law Firm.

In the academic field, he is an assistant professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires School of Law in the class Fundamentals of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure and in the Criminal Law Postgraduate Course at the Universidad de San Andrés. Previously he taught at Universidad Austral and at the Higher Institute of Public Safety.

Martín has published articles and books as author, co-author and coordinator and was invited as a speaker by several academic centers of international prestige, such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Max Plank Institute, and Universidad Roma Tré.
